Welcome to my website, my name is Calum Scott I am 14 years old Display Image 1

(Yes, really!) and I am one of those guys who has, I guess you could say, a mad passion for computing!
I started to gain an interest in computers, roughly, when I was about 8-9 (I can't really remember). Ever since then I have been looking into all sorts of computer-related things, such as:

HTML/xHTML
PHP
CSS
MySQL
A hint of Javascript
and a few others of which I havn't learn enough of to be worthy of adding to this list!

I guess you could say web programming has had more of an impact on me than desktop programming, mainly because I find web programming a lot easier and that I don't feel I'm ready to learn the big stuff yet. ^^
Apart from Visual Basic.NET, I love that language! Very easy to understand and program in, but it does have it's cons. For example, I am very limited to what I can create compared to using a powerful language such as C++ or Java. Also, the syntax is very... foreign. Which means hardly any of the code used in VB.NET is available in C++/Java etc. Which makes the switchover more difficult.

Although, the pros are a great improvement from the cons. For example, VB.NET uses the .NET framework, which is also used with C#.NET, and C#.NET is based on C++ and heavily influenced by Java. So it shouldn't be too difficult!
So with that said, welcome to my website! I hope you enjoy looking around, checking my updates, visiting my project pages and maybe even post a few comment shere and there to help me with what i'm doing. So keep an eye-out for new additions to the site, I am finally glad I have somewhere to post all of my thoughts so it will be updated as frequently as possible!
