Welcome to the official
(as if anyone would copy it) blog of Project T-PA! Project T-PA is currently run by Calum Scott
(myself) and in this project I am aiming to convert every line of Actionscript 1.0 code written by Tony Pa, into working Actionscript 3.0 code.
TonyPa has written an amazing list of tutorials/E-Book detailing almost everything you would need to create the perfect tile based game... in Actionscript 1. So by the end of this project, I will have written an updated list of tutorials/E-Book containing working Actionscript 3 code. This means
every example and
every source download that he usually offers at the end of each chapter. Also, the written tutorial will be... re-written! - by myself or anyone else if they decide to join.
Now, over the next while or so. I will release blog updates containing examples/source downloads written in AS3 when I think it's good and ready. Although don't perceive anything I release as the finished product as I am reading the chapters one by one and coding the examples one by one. So I might come across a chapter where I might need to change a practice used earlier into a more suitable one.
Another thing... absolutely anyone can help me if they feel up to the challenge, even if they only help with one example from one of his chapters, I don't mind. Every little thing contributed will build up into one great masterpiece in the end. If you would like to contact me, email me at

A final note, this blog is statically programmed. Meaning I havn't used PHP or anything. I am just updating it manually. This project blog is dedicated solely on updating Tony Pa's tutorials, so please do not criticise any poor coding on this website
(if there is any found). Please only contact me if you think you have a better solution to something I have programmed in one of the AS3 examples.
